The Granary in retirement for now!

29th November 2021

The news from Noddsdale this month is that The Granary is closed. A family member will live there for the foreseeable future. However, the Bell Loft and Willow remain open. Come to stay in one of them instead!

Apples and quinces from the garden have been prolific this year. Quantities of jelly and chutney are ready for charity sales and plenty of purees for winter puddings! Yum….

The autumn colours have been stunning. The leaves have almost all fallen. The clear up is always a busy time of year. The gardens are tidy, and the benches put away for winter.

Christmas will be here before we know it! Although booked for Christmas, there is availability for New Year in the Bell Loft at the time of writing. Happy Christmas and all the best for 2022 – let’s hope it will be easier to navigate!

What our guests say

This is a lovely flat inside a beautiful house in very extensive grounds. Rooms had antique furnishing and fittings with some modern/practical adaptation. The kitchen was beautifully equipped. Every effort was made by the owners to make us welcome and comfy. We greatly enjoyed the character of house, walking in the grounds and relaxing by the log fire.

There wasn't anything that we didn't like. The house was very much as portrayed and described on the website. It would be lovely to visit when there wasn't a new variant circulating !

December 2021

A lovely stay at this cottage. Despite the midgey infestation that seemed to plague Largs, and the cottage, we had a good time. It was home from home.

August 2020

Welcome Home

Very comfortable apartment within an unusual and beautiful home. So clean, peace and quiet, lovely views and walks. So unusual . Just loved the place overall. Jane and her husband were particularly nice people. Noddsdale Estate is about a mile from the front of Largs - but well worth that extra mile. Definately will return whenever possible.
