Noddsdale Update – Covid-19

10th April 2020

Our properties are closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic at present. Once restrictions are lifted the Bell Loft will be available immediately, but The Granary, formerly The East Wing, and Willow Cottage are mid projects so they will take a little while to put right.

The Granary has had some more sockets put in with USB ports in each room which we thought might be quite useful with everyone’s mobile devices needing to be re-charged on a regular basis. This in turn has led to the need for redecoration and there is a bathroom panel breakage issue which is to be resolved through insurance….! However, we hope to be able to get all this sorted out relatively quickly once the work can begin again.

Willow Cottage is undergoing a bathroom makeover downstairs. We have removed an internal wall which was no longer required which made more room for us to improve the facilities. We now have a walk-in shower, plus the bath, basin and wc. We were almost finished when we went into lockdown, so as long as all the work can be done as soon as restrictions are lifted we will be finished in a matter of days after that.

Life at Noddsdale continues, albeit quieter than usual, with all the maintenance of the properties and the gardens most of which we can do ourselves. Never fear, we will be as ready as we can be when the time comes to reopen and will look forward to welcoming our guests once again.

What our guests say

Willow Cottage (Noddsdale) had everything needed for a carefree holiday/break in North Ayrshire. The cottage was equipped to the highest standard and just a couple of miles from Largs in an extremely picturesque location - ideal for exploring the coast and popping across to the islands.

Wonderful!

Faultless

This is a delightful, well equipped cottage in a glorious setting where everything has been carefully thought of to make your stay memorable. From fresh flowers and shortbread to dog bowls and throws we were unable to think of anything more needed. The garden is dog secure and there are stunning walks on the doorstep as well as the accessibility of the Isles of Cumbrae,Arran and Bute. Jane and Chris are the perfect hosts. We can't wait to return.
