Noddsdale with BBC

24th February 2026

Last July we had an extraordinary day in the life of Noddsdale!

Never before had we had BBC film crew and cast on site. We were chosen to represent a scene for Dinosaur, the BAFTA and RTS Award winning comedy created by Matilda Curtis and Ashley Storrie. Noddsdale features as a pub beer garden on The Isle of Wight and fortunately the day was sunny and calm! We had about 75 people on site and they were all delightful and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The cast used the Bell Loft as their green room which was ideal.

This was the second series and Noddsdale is in it for about 5 minutes of Episode 1! We were very impressed with the slick operation, and it was fun meeting the cast, producers and some of the crew too. All fascinating!

If you would like to catch it, it’s on BBC iPlayer , BBC Three and BBC Scotland.

It’s described as hilarious and heartwarming by The Guardian!

What our guests say

We really enjoyed our stay at Willow Cottage. The Cottage is a very high standard and has everything you could possibly need on holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the local area as there is lots to see and do. We also loved the local walks and enjoyed playing tennis on the courts. Many thanks to Jane and Chris for a great holiday, we hope to return for another visit!

Fantastic stay at Willow Cottage

Everything from the booking went seamlessly. The cottage was beautifully presented - tasteful and new. Super comfortable!

I would certainly stay here again!

We stayed Mon-Fri and had a great time. We had a very warm greeting from the hosts upon arrival which was a great start. Not only is the property beautiful (the inside is a clever fusion of period feel with modern gadgetry), but there was lots nearby to keep us entertained. We spent a lot of time on the tennis courts (rackets and balls all available in the porch to help yourself to), and there is a beautiful walk up the hillside with some beautiful views.
